Jao noge ima da im otpadnu od ovolikih uzvisenja ali danas ce biti velika borba za tackastu majcu. Ali kao sto kaze robhood mnogi ce se pokazati danas. Bice jako zanimljivo prenos mozete gledati na euro sportu.

Šta reći...?Ima u pelotonu dosta jakih vozača.Zato je ovogodišnji tour zanimljiv.Nema Ulricha,Landisa,Bassa,dopinga (valjda).Po meni ima bar 15 vozača koji bi mogli pobediti,i to je dobro.

TIGNES, France -- The first truly difficult day of climbing in the Alps in the Tour de France turned into a game of chicken in more ways than one.

The long uphill finish to this ski resort, which had never before appeared on the Tour itinerary, was supposed to begin sorting out which prerace favorites had the legs to challenge for the podium. But the climb turned out to lack the steep sections where riders can attack and maintain a time gap.

France's favorite son Christophe Moreau looked strong and confident yesterday as he tried to get away from his fellow team leaders a few times, but the jury of his peers ruled against him. The other riders bridged back to Moreau on every attempt, then settled in behind him like a ball and chain, declining to help him pull.

No one seemed willing to risk an all-out acceleration, and they had a perfect excuse, thanks to Denmark's Michael Rasmussen, nicknamed "Chicken" in the peloton because of his scrawny build and pallor.

Rasmussen made the stage win a foregone conclusion when he wheeled away from a breakaway group with about 12 miles to go in the 102 1/2-mile stage. The two-time winner of the garish polka-dot jersey awarded to the best climber leads the race by 43 seconds and will wear the overall leader's yellow garb when the Tour resumes after today's rest day.

He said he's shooting for a podium placement and that the top step is not out of the question. "But I still have 110 kilometers of time trials to negotiate, and I think I've proven in the past that that is not exactly my specialty," Rasmussen said.

The Dane, who rides for the Netherlands-based Rabobank team, was referring to one of his most memorable -- if embarrassing -- days as a professional cyclist.

He was in third place on the eve of the Tour's final time trial two years ago, more than a minute ahead of the next-closest rider. But Rasmussen imploded on the winding time trial course, crashing several times, looking completely unnerved and ultimately backsliding to seventh.

Rasmussen said he has made little effort to improve his time trial technique, but added that he thinks a podium is within reach of a "pure climber" such as himself because the Pyrenees stages later in the race are so difficult. He has been training at altitude in Mexico, where his wife is from, to prepare for this Tour.

Whether or not his theory is plausible, the Tour remained more wide-open after yesterday's stage than most riders or team directors would have predicted.

Discovery Channel team director Johann Bruyneel expressed an understandable bias about the day's events. "Nobody knows what to do," he said. "Everyone still has the Armstrong-Postal syndrome. Nobody had any tactics before. Everyone was on the wheel of our team."

Dobro kazu:Svi biciklisti znaju da doping ne valja ali ga svi koriste.

Vinkurov je demantovao svoju pricu o dopingu rekavsi:
-Cuo sam da sam primio krv mog oca obogacenu crvenim krvnim zrncima.
To je smesno jer od njega bih bio samo pozitivan na Votku.
