Everybody keeps calling me Fil, and I'm no Philosopher, so, that was very reasonable decision
I was fooling around with Facebook, and found that many (ex) forum members hang out just on Facebook.

Don't you think that not having Facebook account for an young person - say teen, would have impact on other parts of his/hers life ? Since Facebook is so huge part of young peoples lives nowadays.
It became standard way of communicating, standard way of getting information about other people, sharing news ...
For older people it depends on how they use it. Some play games and spam others with requests, others share amazing content that makes your day, some follow interesting pages, others use it to communicate...
When it comes to me, I think that I wouldn't like to be cut out from that source of information. Then again, I use Facebook differently and I in fact get interesting information there, just like I would get it on some portal, article or forum.
Oh, hi btw.

Don't worry, you didn't kill the conversation, I just haven't had the time to answer in the past few days. I have been otherwise engaged
So, to answer your question, no, I do not think that having no facebook account should have any sort of impact on anyone's life, be they young, old, or in-between. Why should I base my actions on those of the others. As an individual I find more merit in judging my actions by myself, then following others like a lamb. Mind you, I don't mind people using facebook (or some such), I just find it unnecessary for myself at this moment. Who knows, maybe sometime in the future I'll open a facebook account, but the fact remains, that it will be of my own volition, not by the "sanctity of society".
Enough philosophy from me for now

I speak Czech, and I am learning Turkish, but not very interested in it. Hopefully, when I graduate in English, I will study Czech, but that is just an idea.
No, you haven't killed it, it's just that I have forgotten to write. As I have already mentioned, I am a mess...
I don't like having a profile on Facebook, especially when people give it more meaning than they should. Last night, there was this topic about parents who posted photos of their toddlers on Facebook. I would regard it as stupid and reckless. But it's their life, so they can do what they want.
On the other hand, it's useful as a means of communication among people.
