Eh, gde.
I malecka pomoć - elizabetanski slikar.

Jelka, Jelka... jedva sam ga nasla! Nesto me bas nije htelo.
A Man among Flames 1588
Autor je Isaac Oliver, a ne Nicholas Hilliard.
commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Hilliard_flames.jpg
Citat:Born in Rouen, he moved to London in 1568 with his Huguenot parents Peter and Epiphany Oliver to escape the Wars of Religion in France. He then studied miniature painting under Nicholas Hilliard; and developed a naturalistic style, which was largely influenced by Italian and Flemish art. He later married Sara, daughter of the well-known portrait painter Marcus Gheeraerts the Elder (c. 1520 – c. 1590) and his wife Susannah de Critz in 1602 after his first wife, Elizabeth, had died in 1599 – the mother of his eldest child: Peter Oliver, who was also a famous "limner". Susannah was the daughter of Troilus de Critz, a goldsmith from Antwerp, and close relative of John de Critz, the Queen's Serjeant-Painter. She was also the older sister or cousin of Magdalen de Critz who married Marcus Gheeraerts the Younger (1562 – 1635).
After the death of Elizabeth I, he became a painter of James I's court, painting numerous portraits of the queen Anne of Denmark and Henry Frederick, Prince of Wales.
Some of his work is housed in Windsor Castle. Some of his pen drawings are located in the British Museum.

Citat:He burns for you. In his hand he holds up a jewel, the special one you gave him. His shirt is provocatively open, its white lace collar setting off the cream flesh of his throat, with that delicate trace of stubble, the quiffed hair, the earring and the ring on his finger. He is so self-conscious, so precious, a jewel himself, but - most of all - he's on fire for you. Behind him rise orange and yellow flames, serpentine and erotic, ascending to the sky.
It's irresistible to speculate on the circumstances in which this miniature was made. It is an image, 6cm tall, to be examined with a sigh at idle moments. It pushes to its limit the courtly game of desire that Hilliard's sitters seem to have enjoyed; the totally explicit sexuality of this picture seems to go almost too far. Who was it for? The man portrays himself as a character in a sonnet or a love drama, the lover bared of social identity, undressed for bed. You can almost see something phoney in the use of the poetic image of the burning lover. Did he want the recipient to believe he was more devoted than he was?
Hilliard said that one of the features of the portrait miniature was secrecy, to preserve faces "in private manner", and it is this sense of spying on a private self, an image intended to be seen by one recipient rather than by the world, that gives miniature portraits their fascination. We are allowed into the secret intrigues and passions of long-dead people.

Hvala.
Bušerov malo stariji kolega i sunarodnik, čiji je rokoko povremeno melanholičan.

Jean-Antoine Watteau Pierrot genannt Gilles 1778

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antoine_Watteau
Citat:Watteau, Antoine (1684-1721). A French rococo artist whose charming and graceful paintings show his interest in theater and ballet, Antoine Watteau is probably best known for his fetes galantes. These romantic and idealized scenes depict elaborately costumed ladies and gentlemen at play in fanciful outdoor settings.
