Linux Mint 12 "Lisa"

Šta sve ima od novina u Linux Mintu 12 najbolje je pogledati temu "Linux Mint 12 iliti novi pravci u razvoju Linux desktopa".

Linux Mint 12 comes with a brand new desktop, built with GNOME 3 and MGSE (Mint GNOME Shell Extensions), a desktop layer on top of GNOME 3 that makes it possible for you to use GNOME 3 in a traditional way. You can disable all components within MGSE to get a pure GNOME 3 experience, or you can enable all of them to get a GNOME 3 desktop that is similar to what you've been using before. Of course you can also pick and only enable the components you like to design your own desktop. The main features in MGSE are: the bottom panel, the application menu, the window list, a task-centric desktop (i.e. you switch between windows, not applications), visible system tray icons. MGSE also includes additional extensions such as a media player indicator, and multiple enhancements to GNOME 3.

Izgleda da je ovo taj Smile samo jos da probam taj famozni ARCH, mada od svega sto sam probao (12 distroa Mr. Green ) mint sa MATE okruzenjem je odlican!

Instalirao sam Mint na jedan laptop sa 512 MB RAM-a i sa Mate okruzenjem radi odlicno. Napravio sam samo jednu particiju (bez SWAP-a i sl. ).

Linux Mint 12 "KDE"

Linux Mint 12 "LXDE"

Dostupan je Mint 12 "Lisa" sa LXDE grafičkim okruženjem verzije 0.5.0.
Standardno koristi riznice Ubuntua 11.10, tu je i Linuks jezgro 3.0.

Linux Mint 13 "Maya"

Dostupan nam je novi Mint 13 kodnog imena Maja.
Izdanje Mint 13 dolazi sa dva graficka okruzenja, MATE 1.2 i Cinnamon 1.4.
Ovo izdanje je LTS i bice podrzano do aprila 2017. godine.
