The Associated Press is reporting that LORDI scandalized some of their Finnish compatriots when their song "Hard Rock Hallelujah" was chosen to represent the nation. At a press conference, the band's frontman said his plan for the final was to "scream louder and turn the amps up."
"This is a victory for rock music ... and also a victory for open-mindedness," the band's lead singer, Mr. Lordi, said after the win, Finland's first. "We are not Satanists. We are not devil worshipers. This is entertainment."
Combining crunchy guitars, a catchy chorus and mock-demonic imagery, LORDI are reminiscent of U.S. '70s stars KISS, an acknowledged inspiration of Mr. Lordi.
Band members never appear without their elaborate masks and makeup, and do not reveal their true names.

na stranu te njihove horror maske i make-up,kao iz decijih stripova strave i uzasa.
text pesme njihove , jeste naivan i slab.
a muzika - abortirani metal...
- sve u svemu - Evropa i ne zasluzuje nista bolje.
njihov izbor pokazuje svu trulost i los ukus danasnjeg kvazi-dzet seta koji vlada u tom kvazi dogadjaju. Nije se birala pesma,nego poziranje i kreveljenje.
ljudi, srecni smo jer nasa zemlja nije ucestvovala u takvom kitschu i schundu.
hallelujah, dobri ukuse!
PS :
ko god razume engleski,neka procita text pesme, koji ipak naginje satanizmu i koketiranju sa demonima i crnom magijom.

Vidim da se vecini svidja pesma. O ukusima ne vredi i ne treba raspravljati. Dacu svoje misljenje: Tacno se vidi kuda ide ovaj svet i koliko je izopacena ta Evropa , kojoj toliko stremimo. Da se razumemo , nisam protiv Evrope, cak naprotiv. Ja sam jedan od onih koji je proputovao Evropom, ali ovo je ispod svih standarda Evrovizijskog festivala! Ovo moze da prodje u nekom rock klubu i dobro bi leglo, ali na Evroviziji??? Medjutim kao sto rekoh , Evropa i ljudi su se totalno izopacili!!!
