Paint.NET is a photo and image editing tool designed for computers running Microsoft Windows XP or Windows 2000. It serves the digital imaging community as a free alternative to the standard paint application included with Windows. It brings powerful features to the desktop, a myriad of special effects, plug-in extensibility, and layer manipulation. It enhances the image editing experience for tablet owners with Windows XP Tablet Ink support. Digital photographers and artists can enhance their images with features and effects such as levels adjustment, cross-layer cloning, anti-aliased tools, motion blur, and red eye removal.
Designed and developed at Washington State University with guidance from Microsoft, Paint.NET is a student project programmed in C# and GDI+.

About:
Paint.NET is image and photo manipulation software designed to be used on computers that run Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Server 2003. It supports layers, unlimited undo, special effects, and a wide variety of useful and powerful tools.
It started development at Washington State University as an undergraduate senior design project mentored by Microsoft, and is currently being maintained by some of the alumni that originally worked on it. Originally intended as a free replacement for the MS Paint software that comes with Windows, it has grown into a powerful yet simple tool for photo and image editing. The programming language used to create Paint.NET is C#, with a small amount of C++ for setup and shell-integration related functionality.

Program je odlican, mada ce nekome sa dail-up-om predstavlja problem ovaj .NET Framework 2.0 jer je 22MB!

.NET Framework 2.0 uvek zatreba jer dosta programa da bi radilo zahteva ovu podsku,tako da po meni to nije bacanje internet vremena ...
Ko nece da skida moze da ga potrazi na CD/DVD-ju koji dolazi uz racunarske casopise npr
Nisam se setio toga u vezi topica na vreme... Znam za sledeci put sta mi je ciniti u ovakvoj situaciji.
Sad je preglednije,bolje i lakse za naci ....

* Improved GIF save quality by implementing Floyd-Steinburg error diffusion algorithm
* Printing now works in Windows vista
* Fixed a startup performance problem on some systems that was an artifact of the way the OF..NET Framework was verifying Authenticode signatures as part of its assembly loading process
