San Diego (CA) - Gamers on the hunt for the latest gadgets to get an edge in multi-player competitions or simply improve their gaming experience now can opt for a new high-performance mouse that delivers a resolution of 2000 dpi, a frame rate of 7000 fps - and onboard memory.
Razer's new Copperhead mouse is probably the most precise navigation devices money can buy at this time. According to the specsheet, increases the supported resolution from currently 1600 dpi to a record 2000 dpi. Speed motion detection is rated at 50+ inches per second with a response time of 1 millisecond.
Another unique feature is 32 KByte integrated memory allows gamers to carry up to five different personal configurations on the hardware itself. This eliminates the need for the installation of drivers, if users choose to use the device on more than one computer. The mouse also comes with a customizable weights system, seven programmable extra-large non-slip buttons and can be personalized with a variety of face plates.
As other Razer mice, the Copperhead uses an "always-on" system: The laser sensor never powers down and can provide instantaneous response at all times during game play, the manufacturer said. The mouse is expected to be available by mid-September and will carry a suggested retail price of $80.
