OLPC znači "One laptop per a child". OLPC je neprofitna organizacija čiji je cilj kreiranje laptopa od 100$ s ciljem menjanja načina na koji se danas deca obrazuju. Ciljno tržište same akcije su deca u zemljama u razvoju (prevashodno deca trećeg sveta). A to objašnjava i veseliji dizajn. U pitanju je u potpunosti funkcionalan low-cost računar i nije igračkica. S obzirom da je u pitanju plemenita akcija, ne mislim da bi je trebalo ismejavati. Čak staviše mislim da je to dosta neuviđavno s obzirom na cilj same kampanje.
