Linux Macpup 520 je zasnovan na Linux Puppy 5.2 Lucid izdanju.
Kao i kod Linux Puppya 5.2 i kod Macpup 520 paketi dolaze iz Ubuntu riznice što znači da nam donosi pregršt binarnih paketa.
Macpup 520 sadrži sve pakete kao i Lucid Puppy sa Firefoxom 4.0rc1.

Macpup 525 je distribucija zasnovana na Puppy Linuxu verzije 5.2.5, "Lucid Puppy".
Dolazi nam sa Firefox-om 4, a dodatne aplikacije kao Opera i GIMP se lako mogu instalirati.

Što bi značilo da su paketi kompatibilni sa Lucid Puppy sa dodatkom Firefoxa 7.01 beta.
