A sta novo donosi KAV 2006 u odn na KAV5:
The second official beta of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2006 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2006 has been released. These two products belong to the products of a new generation developed by Kaspersky Lab. You will find the list of changes added to the product since the moment the first beta version release below.
1. Extended technology to set exclusions for applications
This technology allows configuring trusted relations both for the files that will not be scanned on some conditions, and which is more important - for applications. Also when a user defines a trusted application the following actions of the program towards it can be defined as well:
* Do not scan files opened by this application
* Do not control the application activity
* Do not control registry demand
* Do not scan network traffic
2. The technology to fight complicated mechanisms of virus self-protection against being detected by an anti-virus
The technology is aimed to fight complicated malicious programs that use different ways of self-protection against anti-virus programs.
The application scans for viruses “locked” files: i.e. files that are being used by another anti-virus application and cannot be scanned by usual method as they cannot be accessed. The new technology allows getting access to such files and scans them for malicious code.
3. Program installation on an already infected pc and disinfection of malicious programs that are active in the operating system
The technology is aimed to disinfect the system from malicious programs that have already launched their processes in the operating system and prevent the anti-virus from deleting. The Anti-Virus can delete them by different methods including the method of concurrent monitoring of 2 processes one after another
4. The increased database of startup objects
The new mechanism which is used to get system information about all startup objects aims to fight hidden processes, rootkits precisely
5. A rescue CD creation
This function allows to create image of the bootable disc and to restore the system efficiency after the virus outbreak and preventing the system from loading. The technology is means of creating image of the bootable drive using Microsoft Windows PE or Bart PE Builder as well as the Microsoft Windows XP SP 2 setup disc.
6. The improved algorithm to scan frequently used files and archives in the suspended mode
This algorithm is used to solve conflicts that arise when either frequently used files or archives are scanned in the suspended mode and also allows to avoid conflicts with the applied software (file managers, 1C, etc)
7. The anti-virus databases and the license key can be saved when uninstalling the application
The function allows to save the anti-virus databases and the license key when uninstalling the product and to add the saved key by further installation. 8. 4 modes to end the scanning process After the scan is over the pc can be switched into one of the following modes:
* Restart
* Standby
* Hibernate
* Shut down

bobby ::Jel to neko citao ona moja dva prethodna clanka i onaj o WinPE sistemima? 
Konacno da neko uslisi moje molbe...
Koliko sam razumeo coveka koji vodi razvoj "sestice", svojevremeno kada sam ga pitao u cemu je problem da se koristi neki PE za "rescue disc", odgovor je bio - licenca.
Grubo prenosim ono sto sam tada pricao sa njim (uz ogradu da negde pogresim)...postoji neresen spor izmedju prava koriscenja za Bart PE izmedju "bartovaca" i MS-a, a takodje nije "slobodno" koriscenje Win PE-a...tako da KL nije mogao da koristi nijedno od resenja.
Linux varijanta koja je postojala u KAV 4.x verzijama je neupotrebljiva zbog nemogucnosti da Linux "vidi" NTFS (vidi samo FAT sto nije bio neki problem pre sirenja XP-a), a resenja koja trenutno nudi konkurencija vezano za Rescue Disk imaju probleme kada se koriste sa XP SP2.
Stoga, mislim da su odlucili da naprave rescue disk koji ce moci da se koristi uz Win PE i Bart PE, ali sam korisnik je odgovoran da nabavi legalnu verziju tih PE-ova...
Dakle, ako sam dobro razumeo - KL ce samo pruziti mogucnost da se rescue disk pravi uz pomoc ovih PE-ova, ali nece distribuirati te PE-ove da ne bi krsili MS autorska prava...uostalom, pominje se opcija da se korisiti i MS Win XP SP2 setup disc, pa svako sa legalnim Win-om ce imati legalni i setup disk.
E sad, to je bilo pre X meseci kada smo o tome pricali - da li je u medjuvremenu pao dogovor oko licence sa MS-om ili se resilo nesto po pitanju MS vs Bart....ne znam.
Videcemo uslove koriscenja kada se zvanicno pojavi opcija "rescue disk"

Avast Bart je prvi koristio PE sistem za rescue disc.
Pitao sam Barta Lagerweija za objasnjenje kako je Avast resio stvar sa licencom i Bart mi je rekao da ono 'Bart' u imenu Avast Bart nema nikakve veze sa njim, i da nije ni u kom pogledu u vezi sa firmom Avast.
Sto se tice sadasnjeg problema sa licencom, MS je bio zabranio BartPE, verzije 1.xx i 2.xx, dok neko nije nasao neku rupu u licenci, tako da su verzije 3.xx sada sasvim legalne.

E da...modernizovace se i update, tako da ce zapravo biti jedan "kontinualni" update - nece biti kao dosada na svaki sat ili cesce po potrebi, nego ce sveze definicije biti dostupne na serveru cim se izvrsi analitika, a KAV ce da uporedjuje bazu na masini i na serveru i da uzima samo "bas tu definiciju" koja fali...
Kaspersky Lab continues to improve its technologies for updating of antivirus databases, implementing cutting-edge techniques:
• Technology for significantly reducing update sizes by comparing antivirus database and program module files on the computer and on the update server and downloading only the parts that are different;
• Automatic updating mode in which updates are downloaded as soon as they are available on update servers.
• Automatic load balancing and updating speed optimization; updates are downloaded from the most convenient and efficient update server (convenience is determined by such parameters as time, network load, availability etc.);
• Update rollback technology returns the databases to their last usable versions in exceptional situations (in the event that the databases are compromised, not downloaded correctly etc.).

• Blocking of JavaScript and VBScript scripts loaded from Internet pages;
• Anti-dialer technology that detects and blocks unauthorized attempts to establish modem connections.

Skinuh beta2 prekjuce, ali nisam jos instalirao.
Vidim da koristi Windows installer (MSI), sto je lose jer se taj installer veoma lako blokira (sto neki trojanci i rade).
Ima li neke sanse da se pojavi verzija koja ne zavisi ni od jednog Windowsovog servisa?
