"(To) Bury the hatchet."
- To make peace. / To forget about arguments and disagreements with someone and to become friends with them again. / To agree that you will forget about arguments and disagreements with someone.
Example / Primer:

(a) Nail in the Coffin / To put a Nail in the Coffin
- An action that will cause something to end / Sugestira da ce se nesto zavrsiti/dovrsiti / Staviti tacku na sve to
Example / Primer:
"This report on the effects of smoking is another nail in the coffin of the tobacco industry."
Or:
"We thought the firings would put the final nail in the union's coffin, but in fact, the union has grown in size and importance."
Ovaj termin sam najcesce cuo u kosarci [NBA], kad komentator kaze:
"And he (npr. LeBron James) puts a nail in the coffin!!!"
Stavlja tacku na utakmicu, dovrsio ih, dokusurio.

U Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary nasao sam objesnjenje za What makes sb tick: If you know what makes someone tick, you understand why they behave the way they do. , pa me intersuje kako bi se prevelo ''What makes us tick?'' u duhu srpskog jezika.
Unaprijed hvala!
