Citat:It is a city of business, economics, culture and education.

(http://www.tob.rs/eng/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=18&Itemid=121)

- Englezi kazu "you must try and to do something", to je vise kao izraz, nije bila greska.

Tako da sled ide ovako (izmišljam sad), "Belgrade lies on the Danube. Belgrade is A beautiful city. THE city was founded... bla bla". Make sense? Da bi bilo "the city", moralo bi već da je pomenut city i da je on subjekat rečenice. Ovde je i dalje "Beograd" subjekat, pa bi jedino THE došlo u obzir u upotrebi tipa: "Belgrade is THE city with THE most beautiful...(popuni sam!)", a to je već drugo pravilo.
